This committee will be responsible for:

1. Assessing laboratory animal space within the College of Veterinary Medicine

2. Addressing the needs and concerns of faculty who use laboratory animals.

3. Understanding current laboratory animal regulations.

4. Inform the Dean of Laboratory Animal issues and provide recommendations to the Dean.

The committee is composed of one faculty member form each academic department and one from the Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory. The Director of Animal Resources shall be an ex officio member of the committee. A faculty member-at-large with teaching and research responsibilities will be selected by the Dean as an ex officio chair.

This committee will meet at least twice yearly and minutes of meetings will be submitted to the Office of Academic Affairs.
